General

Specific applications: Primary human hepatocytes (PHH) are cryopreserved immediately after isolation. For researchers to be able to get the highest post-thaw yield, viability, and cell quality, they need to use suitable thawing media. Hepatocytes need to be spun in the thaw media to separate non-parenchymal cells (NPCs), dead cells, and cellular debris from viable cells. The HepatoXcell™ Thawing Media could also be used to thaw and recover cryopreserved animal hepatocytes.
