ATCC®-formulated DMEM: F-12 Medium is a 1:1 blend of Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) and Ham’s F-12 Nutrient Mixture, designed to provide a nutritionally rich environment for culturing a wide variety of mammalian cells, particularly epithelial and fibroblast cell lines such as ATCC’s ARPE-19 (ATCC CRL-2302™). Used in tissue engineering, cancer research, and stem cell biology, DMEM: F-12 Medium is especially suited for culturing human and animal epithelial cells, as well as primary cells and customized cell lines.

Formulation: Contains 2.5 mM L-glutamine, 15 mM HEPES, 0.5 mM sodium pyruvate, and 1200 mg/L sodium bicarbonate NOTE: This reduced level of sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO₃, 1.2 g/L) is intended for use in a 5% CO₂ in air.
