ATCC®-formulated RPMI-1640 Medium is a sterile, ready-to-use cell culture medium optimized for the growth of human lymphoid cells and other mammalian cell lines such as Raji (ATCC CCL-86™). Based on the original Moore et al. formulation, it contains essential nutrients, amino acids, vitamins, and inorganic salts to support cellular metabolism. Commonly used in immunology, cancer research, and general cell biology, it may be supplemented with fetal bovine serum (FBS) (ATCC 30-2020™) or other additives for enhanced performance.
