ATCC®-formulated Leibovitz’s L-15 Medium is a specialized cell culture medium designed for use in environments without CO₂ supplementation. Its unique buffering system makes it ideal for open-air or closed systems, such as roller bottles and sealed flasks, where traditional bicarbonate buffering is not feasible. Leibovitz’s L-15 Medium is ideal for culturing cells outside of CO₂ incubators, making it especially useful in fieldwork, transport, and microscopy applications. Frequently used for mammalian cells such as ATCC’s MDA-MB-231 (ATCC HTB-26™)
