Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are adult multipotent cells that can differentiate into a variety of cells types, including osteoblasts (bone cells), chondrocytes (cartilage cells), and adipocytes (fat cells). 

ATCC offers several MSCs for your research. Our portfolio includes adipose-derived multipotent MSCs, bone marrow–derived multipotent BMMSCs, and umbilical cord–derived multipotent MSCs. These stem cells are capable of differentiating down adipogenic, osteogenic, and chondrogenic lineages. Applications include adult stem cell differentiation, regenerative medicine, cell therapy, tissue engineering, and the creation of iPS cell lines.
