ATCC®-formulated Eagle’s Minimum Essential Medium (EMEM) is a sterile, ready-to-use cell culture medium designed to support the growth of a wide variety of mammalian cells such as ATCC’s MRC-5 (ATCC CCL-171™). Based on Harry Eagle’s original formulation, EMEM provides a balanced mix of essential amino acids, vitamins, and salts to maintain healthy cell metabolism and proliferation. Ideal for culturing adherent cell lines in research areas such as bioproduction, oncology, and toxicology. Store at 2–8°C; supplement with serum as required.
