Role at ATCC
In her role as General Counsel, Aida will serve as a strategic advisor and cross-functional partner on matters including intellectual property, compliance, licensing, contracts, and broader business decision-making. Aida will oversee legal operations and corporate governance, building and leading a legal function to support organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
Experience
Aida brings 25 years of legal, compliance, and risk management experience spanning corporate governance, government contracting, biological research, public health-focused technology transfer, and mission-driven organizations. She recently served as Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary at Southeastern Universities Research Association (SURA). Aida has practiced in the areas of corporate law, government contracting, and technology transactions. Prior to joining SURA, she has also served the University of Maryland Global Campus, the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine.
Aida is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP®) and has completed the Chief Risk Officer Executive Education Program at George Mason University. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law, graduating with highest honors, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Duke University.
