Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): SalI--2.9, 2.1; EcoRI--2.9, 2.1; HindIII--5.0; BamHI--5.0, PstI--3.3, 0.7, 0.5, 0.5.
The insert includes these restriction sites (nucleotide position according to the published sequence): PstI--251, 788, 1025, 1739, 1791; BglI--516, 882, 1212; SacI--1370; XhoI--851, 1557. There is an unreported EcoRI site at the 3' end of the insert.
GLUT4 is the insulin-regulated adipose/muscle type of transporter.
This construct was linearized with HindIII and transcribed using SP6 RNA polymerase. The product of the in vitro translation of the transcript was recognized by monoclonal antibody 1F8 which recognizes the insulin-regulatable glucose transporter.
The insert contains the complete coding sequence, including nucleotides 122-2128 of the published sequence.
The KpnI polymorphism was reported using phJHT-3 which includes nucleotides 1-1472 of the published sequence.

If shipping to the U.S. state of Hawaii, you must provide either an import permit or documentation stating that an import permit is not required. We cannot ship this item until we receive this documentation.
