ATCC determines the biosafety level of a material based on our risk assessment as guided by the current edition of Biosafety in Microbiological and Biomedical Laboratories (BMBL), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. It is your responsibility to understand the hazards associated with the material per your organization’s policies and procedures as well as any other applicable regulations as enforced by your local or national agencies.

Detailed product information

Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--4.4, 2.75; EcoRI/SmaI--4.4, 1.5, 1.2; HindIII--5.2, 2.3; PstI--4.0, 2.0, 1.2.
This includes approximately 1.3 kb of sequence homologous to mos (primarily in a EcoRI/SmaI fragment) and 3' flanking sequences.
Recorded as not polymorphic by Collaborative Research, meaning either not polymorphic in 0.8% agarose gels, or difficult to work with.
Alleles of the EcoRI RFLP may be of prognostic value. May be found in tumor and normal tissue of patients but not healthy cohorts.
In a kindred prone to cutaneous malignant melanoma (NCI family 0873), the rare 5.0 kb EcoRI allele was present in the proband with melanoma and in his mother with basal cell carcinoma, but not in the 9 other family members.
Mycoplasma contamination
Not detected
