Mycobacteria containing this vector should be grown on 7H9/7H11 media plus hygromycin (50 mcg/ml).
Shuttle vector allowing transformation of a broader range of Mycobacterial species and at a higher efficiency than the kanamycin resistance confering shuttle vectors pBAK14, pYUB12 and pMV251.
Constructed by insertion of the pAL5000 origin of replication at the BamHI site of pIJ963, followed by subsequence loss of a 1.9 kb fragment including the ampR region.
