ATCC’s Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)

ATCC building entrance at dusk with lights.

Welcome to ATCC’s Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) Meeting Minutes page, prepared in alignment with the latest NIH Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant or Synthetic Nucleic Acid Molecules. ATCC has an IBC to promote transparency and public access. On this page, you can easily find approved meeting minutes and our current IBC roster.

The IBC reviews new protocols throughout the year and meets semi-annually or as needed to uphold the highest standards of safety and compliance. The IBC advises our internal team on managing biohazards and safeguards the interests of both public health and the environment. Our goal is to support responsible research, build public trust, and ensure regulatory compliance.
