Agent Genomic RNA from Severe acute respiratory syndrome-related coronavirus 2
Strain Germany/BavPat1/2020
Verified By Whole-genome Sequencing
Applications ATCC® Genuine Nucleics can be used for assay development, verification, validation, monitoring of day-to-day test variation, and lot-to-lot performance of molecular-based assays. The quantitative format allows for the generation of a standard curve for quantitative PCR (qPCR) to determine viral load.
Biosafety Level 2

Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country.

Product Format frozen 100 µL per vial
Storage Conditions -70°C or colder

Due to high demand, this product is limited to 20 per organization.

Genomic RNA isolated from a preparation of Severe acute respiratory syndrome-related coronavirus 2 strain Germany/BavPat1/2020.

Genomic RNA from SARS-CoV-2 must be handled at BSL-2 containment.

Innocuity testing was performed on the extracted RNA and results reported on the Certificate of Analysis.

Whole-genome sequencing has shown the presence of the D614G mutation in this isolate.

Acknowledgment for publications should read "The following reagent was deposited by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and obtained through BEI Resources, NIAID, NIH: Genomic RNA from SARS-Related Coronavirus 2, Isolate Germany/BavPat1/2020, NR-52502."
