Vector: pYC7 (plasmid)
Promoters: Promoter truncated CYC1 promoter (no UAS element)
Construction: pBR322
Construct size (kb): 10.0600004196167
Features: marker(s): URA3
marker(s): ampR
promoter: truncated CYC1 promoter (no UAS element)
replicon: 2 micron ori
replicon: pMB1
coding sequence: lacZ
YE-type (episomal) shuttle vector
Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): KpnI--10.3; HindIII--8.2, 2.25; BglII--10.3.
This is one of three lacZ reporter plasmids that lack UAS promoter elements (ATCC 87509, 87510 & 87513). They differ by polylinker sites.
DNA fragments can be inserted into these plasmids to assay UAS (upstream activation site) activity.
The vector was constructed by William Timberlake.
