Introduction

Cell Line Description:

SNU-182 was derived in 1989 by J.-G. Park and associates from a primary hepatocellular carcinoma taken from a Korean patient prior to cytotoxic therapy.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA was detected by Southern blot hybridization. HBV genomic RNA was not expressed.

·         > 100 kb in size by agarose gel electrophoresis

·         No RNA detected in the agarose gel

·         A260/A280 ratio ³ 1.8

·         Tested and verified for PCR amplification and restriction digestion.
