The cells do not express detectable retroviruses.
Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox).
Complete Growth Medium Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium with 4.5 g/L glucose and 10 mcg/ml insulin, 90%; fetal bovine serum, 10%
Subculturing
Subcultivation Ratio: A subcultivation ratio of 1:2 to 1:4 is recommended
Medium Renewal: 2 to 3 times per week
Remove medium, rinse with fresh 0.25% trypsin, 0.02% EDTA solution, remove trypsin and let the culture sit at room temperature (or at 37°C) until the cells detach (about 10 minutes. Add fresh medium, aspirate and dispense into new flasks.
