Comments
|
Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--6.6; EcoRI--6.6; SacI/XbaI--3.5, 2.8, 0.45. The galactokinase (GALL) promoter is a deletion variant of GAL1, which lacks one of the 3 UAS elements required for full induction of the promoter by galactose. The promoter is tightly repressed by glucose and is induced at a moderate level by galactose. High copy number shuttle expression vector. One of 32 yeast expression vectors (ATCC 87318-87349) differing in promoter, selection marker and replicon.
