Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--2.1, 2.0; EcoRI--2.1 (doublet); KpnI--2.15, 2.0; MluI--2.2, 2.0; SstI--2.15, 2.0. Plasmid useful for generation of marked deletions and insertions in cloned DNA in vitro. Contains an omega - Ap element flanked by multiple cloning sites duplicated in inverted orientation. The PstI and HincII sites in the bla gene have been removed.
