Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): HindIII/BglII--3.87, 1.34, 0.69; PvuII/PstI--3.66, 1.84; PvuII--uncut. An Escherichia coli/mammalian cell shuttle vector. Consists of the SV40 promoter (SV nt 270-5171), a HindIII linker, the hph gene (1347 bp), SV40 splice site (SV nt 4710-4100), SV40 polyadenylation site (SV nt 4362-2067), pML (inserted at the BamHI site with HindIII-EcoRI-amp upstream of the SV40 promoter).
