Validated genetic information for tumor cell panels
Has ATCC validated the genetic mutation information of the provided tumor cell panel products?

It depends on the types of panels. There are mainly two kinds of tumor cell panels that composed either by tissue type or by molecular signature. Cell lines within tumor cell panels by tissue type are annotated with gene mutation data that developed by Sanger Institute COSMIC database, and ATCC did not perform in-house validation of the mutation data. On the other hand, cell lines within Molecular Signature Panels have been fully validated by ATCC to verify mutations, gene copy number changes, gene expression, protein expression and cell functionalities.
