CRL-1772 cells - coating of flasks

Is it necessary to coat the flasks/plates for CRL-1772 culture and differentiation?

It is not necessary to use coated flasks for culture or differentiation of these cells. It is very important that these cells be cultured in the ATCC-recommended medium and seeded at a density of 5.0 X10(3) viable cells/cm2; refer to the Certificate of Analysis for the number of cells per vial. Cultures should not be allowed to become confluent.
