Normal and immortalized human retinal pigmented epithelium cells

Does ATCC supply normal and immortalized human retinal pigmented epithelium cells?

ATCC has both normal ARPE-19 (ATCC® CRL-2302) and immortalized hTERT RPE-1 (ATCC® CRL-4000) human retinal pigmented epithelium cells in the general collection. The ARPE-19 is the normal human cell line and the hTERT RPE-1 is the immortalized version which was derived by transfecting the RPE-340 cell line with the pGRN145 hTERT-expressing plasmid (ATCC MBA-141). The cells were cultured in medium containing Hygromycin B until stable clones were selected [PubMed: 9454332, 9916802].
