Cell Line Description: HCC1143 is a poorly differentiated cell line that was initiated on August 30, 1994; it took 29 months to establish. HCC1143 was derived from an invasive ductal carcinoma with no lymph node metastases. The cells are negative for expression of Her2-neu but positive for expression of p53. HCC1143 is positive for the epithelial cell specific marker Epithelial Glycoprotein 2 and for cytokeratin 19, and is negative for expression of estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PR). DNA isolated from an EBV-transformed lymphoblastoid cell line, HCC1143 BL, from the same patient is available as ATCC CRL-2362D.
