Comments
|
Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--2.6, 1.3; EcoRI--2.75, 1.4; KpnI--2.5, 1.45; MluI--2.85, 1.25; SstI--2.85, 1.25. Plasmid useful for vector construction and generation of marked deletions and insertions in cloned DNA. SphI and PstI sites in the nptII gene were removed by site-directed mutagenesis. Contains a nptII (kanR) cassette flanked by multiple cloning sites duplicated in inverted orientation. pBSL97 ( ATCC 87140) and pBSL99 ( ATCC 87141) differ in the orientations of the multiple cloning sites.
