A promoter-cloning plasmid vector using expression of beta-galactosidase as the reporter in Dictyostelium.
pDdGal-15 (ATCC 37770), pDdGal-16 (ATCC 37771) and pDdGal-17 (ATCC 37772) differ in their polylinker sequences. Each contains a BglII site in a different reading frame relative to the lacZ gene.
The lacZ gene and Dictyostelium actin 8 terminator from pDdlac-1 were inserted into a derivative of pB10TP2 from which the f1 origin and and a lacZ fragment had been removed.
The neo gene is regulated by an actin 6 promoter and a CP1 terminator.
