Applications
The antibody reacts with human E-selectin (endothelial leukocyte adhesion molecule 1 (ELAM-1)); CD62E. The antibody reacts, immunohistochemically, with rat pulmonary endothelial cells pretreated with tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha).
Derivation
Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8.653 mouse myeloma cells.

Comments
The antibody reacts with human E-selectin (endothelial leukocyte adhesion molecule 1 (ELAM-1)); CD62E. The antibody reacts, immunohistochemically, with rat pulmonary endothelial cells pretreated with tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha). CL37 antibody does not block in vitro adherence of neutrophils to TNF alpha-treated endothelial cells and the killing of TNF alpha-treated rat endothelial cells by phorbol ester activated neutrophils [PubMed: 1717513]. Animals were immunized with human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) that had been stimulated with recombinant interleukin-1 (IL-1).
Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8.653 mouse myeloma cells.
Complete Growth Medium The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated RPMI-1640 Medium, ATCC 30-2001. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum (ATCC 30-2020) to a final concentration of 10%.
Subculturing
Protocol: Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 1 X 10(5) viable cells/ml. Maintain cell density between 5 X 10(4) and 1 X 10(6) viable cells/ml.
Medium Renewal: Add fresh medium every 2 to 3 days (depending on cell density)
