Strain Designations G20
Application
Genome sequencing strain
Isolation Derived from existing strain. Isolate G20 was derived in two steps from strain G100A: First, a spontaneously nalidixic acid resistant derivative was obtained and designated G200. Then, G200 was cured of the 2.3-kb cryptic plasmid [pBG1] and designated G20. The parent strain, G100A, was isolated from a producing oil well in Ventura County, California.
Biosafety Level 1

Biosafety classification is based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines, it is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that their facilities comply with biosafety regulations for their own country.
