Although originally deposited as Bacillus megaterium, full-length sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene supports reclassification of this strain as Bacillus cereus. This change is further supported by the observation of ├č hemolysis on blood agar and a phenotypic analysis using both API CH/B and Vitek 2 compact Bacillus databases.
