TIB-152 cell density

What is the recommended cell density for growth of ATCC® TIB-152 ™, Jurkat Clone E6-1 cells?

TIB-152 should be initiated at a seeding density of 1.0 - 2.0 X 105 viable cells /ml.  The culture can be maintained by adding small amounts of fresh medium to the flask every 2 or 3 days, and performing frequent cell counts to ensure that the density does not exceed 3 X 106 viable cells/ml.  Cultures should then be transferred to a larger flask, or more flasks, as necessary.  It is important to dilute the culture with fresh medium to lower the cell concentration and provide sufficient nutrients for growth.  If the medium is simply replaced (by spinning down and re-suspending in the same volume) and the cell density is not decreased, the cells can deplete the medium rapidly and die.
