Both ATCC® CRL-1730 ™, HUV-EC-C, and ATCC® CRL-2873 ™, HUVEC-CS, are normal cells from a human umbilical vein. Neither CRL-1730 ™ nor CRL-2873 ™ has been immortalized, therefore both cultures have limited doubling potential.
