Ker-CT differentiation

Can Ker-CT cells (ATCC® CRL-4048 ™) differentiate in 2D and 3D cultures? 

It has been shown that regulatory mechanisms of differentiation remain intact in Ker-CT cells (ATCC® CRL-4048 ™)  (PubMed: 12545164).  When the calcium concentration is increased in 2D culture, Ker-CT cell growth is arrested and the cells express differentiation markers including Keratin 1, Keratin 10, gamma-catenin (Plakoglobin) and involucrin.  Ker-CT also can be differentiated using 3D skin organotypic cultures (PubMed: 12545164 and 19936293)
