Product Format 5 x 5 mL vials Storage Conditions Store DMSO at 2°C to 8°C when not in use. It may be solid at this temperature. However, it may also be stored at room temperature where it remains a liquid. Applications DMSO is used as a cyroprotectant for the cryopreservation of cell lines. ATCC DMSO is cell culture grade and has been tested to assure nontoxicity and sterility. Biosafety Level 1 Quality Control Specifications Bulk material from each lot has been tested on ATCC cell lines to insure it is nontoxic when used at concentrations of 10% or less. Bulk material from each lot is also tested before dispensing for contamination by bacteria or fungi.
