Plasmid linearized with PstI can be used to introduce cDNA libraries constructed in pcD or pcD2 vectors into Schizosaccharomyces pombe, resulting in the formation, by homologous recombination, of concatamers maintained as episomal DNA.
Shares pBR322 sequences from the PvuII site to the ScaI site with pcD.
Contains the ars sequence from Schizosaccharomyces pombe and the LEU2 gene from Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Insertions at the HindIII, BamHI, and SalI sites inactivate tetracycline resistance.
