This line was derived from the U266 myeloma cell line of Nilsson (Clin. Exp. Immunol. 7:477-489, 1970) by selecting for resistance to 8-azaguanine;the cells cells are HAT sensitive.

This is a batch of SKO-007 (formerly available as ATCC CRL-8033) that was cured at the ATCC of a mycoplasma contamination.

Subculturing
Medium Renewal: 2 to 3 times per week
Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 X 10 exp5 cells/ml and maintain between 1 X 10 exp5 and 1 X 10 exp6 cells/ml.
