Product Format freeze-dried 5 x 2 gm vials Storage Conditions At the ATCC, PEG-1450 is stored at 2°C to 8°C, but the reagent may be stored at room temperature. Applications This reagent is used to assist fusion of myeloma and spleen cells to form hybridomas. PEG-1450 is packaged as 2 gram aliquots in amber vials that protect the product from light. PEG is undiluted and is a white solid. It is supplied sterile and pretested for cytotoxicity. Molecular Weight 1300-1600 Biosafety Level 1 Quality Control Specifications Each lot is tested for bacterial and fungal contamination. Cytotoxicity testing is performed on NS-1 cells at a 40% w/v concentration. Cells must remain greater than 80% viable after exposure to PEG.
