Comments
Animals were immunized with purified human lipopolysaccharide (LPS) binding protein (LBP)
Spleen cells were fused with P3X63Ag8.653 mouse myeloma cells.
The monoclonal antibody Mab 2B5 (ATCC HB-11491) recognizes overlapping epitopes on LPB whereas the monoclonal antibody Mab 1E8 (ATCC HB-11490) recognizes unique LBP epitopes.
Complete Growth Medium The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium, Catalog No. 30-2002. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.
Subculturing
Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days
Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 1 to 2 X 10 exp5 viable cells/ml.
Maintain cell density between 5 X 10 exp4 and 1 to 2 X 10 exp6 viable cells/ml.
Cryopreservation
culture medium 95%; DMSO, 5%
Culture Conditions
Temperature: 37.0°C
Isotype IgG1; lambda light chain
Name of Depositor Scripps Research Inst.
