Comments
Inadvertent introduction of Ectromelia virus into mouse colonies has caused major outbreaks in US animal colonies. The depositor recommends that animal care and biosafety management at your institution be consulted prior to initiating work with this agent. Requests for the agent must carry a signed statement assuming all risk and responsibility for handling and use. For additional information see: Fenner. 1982. Mousepox, (in) The Mouse in Biomedical Research: Vol. II. Diseases, (ed) Foster et al., Academic Press.
