Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--4.6; HindIII--4.6; BamHI--4.6.
Should be grown in media containing ampicillin at a final concentration of 1 mg/ml to improve plasmid yields.
May be used in essentially all cultured cells in transient transfection assays, to establish permanent cell lines and to construct transgenic mice.
The pCMV1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 vectors differ from each other in certain unique restriction sites in the polylinker region.
