Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BglII--3.4; EcoRV--2.5, 0.45 (doublet); PstI--3.4.
This vector is compatible with ColE1-derived plasmids and allows efficient expression of recombinant genes upon induction with arabinose.
These features make it convenient to be used in combination with standard gene expression vectors for the independently controlled production of two recombinant polypeptides in E. coli.
