Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--6.6, 0.64; PstI--3.85, 3.3; PvuII--3.7, 3.4. The depositor recommends using YRp7-17camp ( ATCC 37630) as the reference for CAT expression and using the CAT assay methodology of Neumann, et al. One of a series ( ATCC 37624 through 37634) of Escherichia coli/Saccharomyces cerevisiae shuttle vectors for investigating control of expression in yeast. A 4920 bp SalI/HindIII fragment of YIp5 was ligated to a 1985 bp HindIII/SalI fragment of YRp7-32phocat ( ATCC 37625). |
