Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PstI--3.2, 1.9; BamHI--5.1; EcoRI/HindIII--2.7, 1.5, 0.9. HincII--3.4, 1.7.
The plasminogen portion corresponds to nt 1021-1597 of the reported sequence and encodes part of the K3 and K5 and all of the K4 kringle domains.
Downstream of the plasminogen sequence is a vector sequence encoding the peptide GGSSR and a truncated streptokinase gene lacking regulatory sequences and codons 1-39 but retaining the remainder of the coding sequence and the transcription terminator.
Contains an internal PstI site.
