Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI/HindIII--2.55, 1.75, 1.55, 1.2; EcoRI--5.2, 1.65; AccI--4.1, 2.7, consistent with deposited DNA.
Codominant segregation demonstrated in 34 3-generation families for the PstI RFLP.
A 1.8 kb EcoRI/HindIII fragment has been used to detect the PstI polymorphism.
The probe was pre-associated with excess human DNA before hybridization. Otherwise, RFLPs were observed under normal hybridization and wash stringencies.
Enzyme(s) not detecting polymorphism: MspI, TaqI.
