Colony and cell morphology:

Colonies on Sabouraud's glucose agar are slow growing, typically glabrous at first, heaped and folded with a strongly radiating margin, up to 30 mm diam. after 2 weeks at 25°C; the surface is luteous to orange or sienna or apricot in the center, fading towards the margin; the reverse is orange to umber or rust in the center, pale luteous to luteous at the margin.
