Comments
Although HH cells lack the alpha chain of the IL-2 receptor (IL-2R alpha), they do possess a functional p70 beta chain (IL-2R beta) of the IL-2 receptor complex.
A culture submitted to the ATCC in June of 1992 was found to be contaminated with mycoplasma, and was cured by treatment with Ciprofloxacin.
Complete Growth Medium The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated RPMI-1640 Medium, Catalog No. 30-2001. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.
Subculturing
Protocol: Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 x 105 cells/mL and maintain between 1 x 105 and 1 x 106 cells/mL.
Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days
