Comments
BB cells will grow at 4 to 34C with an optimum of between 25 and 30C.
The cells do not do well when cultured on a glass surface.
Complete Growth Medium Minimum essential medium (Eagle) with 2mM L-glutamine and Hanks' BSS with 0.1 mM non-essential amino acids and 1.0 mM sodium pyruvate, 90%; fetal bovine serum, 10%.
Subculturing
Subcultivation Ratio: A subcultivation ratio of 1:2 to 1:3 is recommended
Medium Renewal: 1 to 2 times per week
Remove medium, add fresh 0.25% trypsin for 1 to 3 minutes, remove trypsin and allow the culture to stand for 5 to 10 minutes at room temperature. Add fresh medium, aspirate and dispense into new flasks.
