Culture medium: RPMI 1640 medium with 2 mM L-glutamine adjusted to contain

1.5 g/L sodium bicarbonate, 4.5 g/L glucose, 10 mM HEPES, and 1.0 mM sodium

pyruvate, 90%; fetal bovine serum, 10%.

Secretes a mouse IgG2a monoclonal antibody that reacts with intercellular

adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM-1 or CD54).

Subculturing
Protocol: Cultures can be maintained by addition of fresh medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 2 X 10(4) viable cells/ml. Do not allow the cell concentration to reach 6 X 10(5) cells/ml.
Interval: Maintain cultures at a cell concentration between 3 X 10(4) and 5 X 10(5) cells/ml.
Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days
