Applications
Animals were immunized with a fusion protein corresponding to the products of CD44 variable exons V5 through V10.
The antibody is specific for a determinant on murine CD44 isoforms expressing variable exon V10.
Derivation
Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 mouse myeloma cells.

Complete Growth Medium RPMI 1640 medium with 2 mM L-glutamine adjusted to contain 1.5 g/L sodium bicarbonate, 4.5 g/L glucose, 10 mM HEPES, 1.0 mM sodium pyruvate and supplemented with: 0.05 mM 2-mercaptoethanol 1% Origen Hybridoma Cloning Factor 10% fetal bovine serum
Subculturing
Medium Renewal: Add fresh medium every 2 to 3 days (depending on cell density)
Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 1 to 2 X 10 exp5 viable cells/ml.
Maintain cultures at cell concentrations between 1 X 10(5) and 8 X 10(5) viable cells/ml.
