SubCulturing: Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 X 10 exp5 cells/mL and maintain between 1 X 10 exp5 and 1 X 10 exp6 cells/mL.

Comments: Animals were immunized with cells of the TK1 murine T cell lymphoma. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with human and mouse b7 integrin. It partially blocks lymphocyte binding to MAdCAM-1, and a4b7 integrin binding to VCAM-1 and fibronectin. It is useful for both immunofluorescence and immunohistological staining. NOTE: a feeder layer of mouse peritoneal macrophages or X-irradiated mouse fibroblasts (see ATCC 56-X, irradiated STO cells) must be used in order to successfully recover these cells from the frozen state.

Complete Growth Medium The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated RPMI-1640 Medium, Catalog No. 30-2001. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium:
  • fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%
  • 0.05 mM 2-mercaptoethanol

Subculturing
