The antibody reacts with the Fab portion of human IgM.

Derivation
Animals were immunized with purified human IgM.
Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells.

Comments
The antibody reacts with the Fab portion of human IgM.
Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox).
Complete Growth Medium The base medium for this cell line is ATCC-formulated Dulbecco's Modified Eagle's Medium, Catalog No. 30-2002. To make the complete growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum to a final concentration of 10%.
Subculturing
Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 X 105 cells/mL and maintain between 1 X 105 and 1 X 106 cells/mL.
Medium Renewal: Every 2 to 3 days
