An extracellular matrix that mediates critical steps in fertilization and early development surrounds all vertebrate eggs. In mice and humans, this matrix is known as the zona pellucida and comprises three glycoproteins: ZP1, ZP2 and ZP3.
The H1.6 antibody specifically binds to human ZP1 glycoprotein.

Subculturing
Protocol: Cultures can be maintained by the addition of fresh medium or replacement of medium. Alternatively, cultures can be established by centrifugation with subsequent resuspension at 1 to 2 X 10(5) viable cells/ml. Maintain cultures at cell concentrations between 1 X 10(5) and 1 X 10(6) viable cells/ml.
Medium Renewal: Add fresh medium every 2 to 3 days (depending on cell density)

Freeze medium: Complete growth medium supplemented with 5% (v/v) DMSO
