Comments
This strain is a tissue culture-adapted version of strain TW-3 (VR-578) which is grown in embryonated chicken eggs.
Before infecting host cells, add 1-mm glass beads and vortex stock material for 45 seconds. Aspirate fluid. Infect shell vial monolayer with 0.2 ml of material.
Centrifuge at 800 x G for 1 hour. Feed with 1.0 ml EMEM (HEPES buffered), 10% FBS (screened for chlamydia antibodies).
